Also known as the pants ladies hostel this would have been an okay place to stay (its was fairly cheap), but purely based on the fact we were made to feel as we’d invited ourselves to stay round someones house and the owner struted around in her pants i’d give it a wide berth.

Just spent a great surfing weekend in Camelford (not toe), we stayed in a great campsite Kings Acre Touring Park, don’t let the name put you off, it’s a nice sized site in a lovely location.

Having just added a post about Lake Tekapo Youth Hostel in New Zealand it got me thinking about places to stay that have awe inspiring views.
In no particular order here’s some I can remember staying in (will ad more as I remember)
- Lake Tekapo Youth Hostel - one of the best hostels with a view I can think of, a spectacular view of lake and mountains.
- Bunga Bungalows Gili Ai, Indonesia - Bungalows sitting meters from the beach with a spectacular view across turquoise sea to Bali.
Lake Tekapo Youth Hostel, New Zealand
Lake Tekapo Youth Hostel is surprisingly, located right in front of Lake Tekapo in the centre of New Zealand’s South Island. Its main attraction is the huge window with an incredible view of Lake Tekapo and the mountains and has got to be one of the best views I’ve ever had in a Youth Hostel.
Grasspoint Cottage, Isle of Mull, Scotland
Situated on a peninsular in the north west of the Isle of Mull, Grasspoint cottage is where we spent a week of our Honeymoon in September 2007, with a view of the sea out of every window and hardly a soul in sight it makes for a perfect romantic getaway.
Casa Luisa Guesthouse, Caracas
Casa Luisa is located near to El Hatillo, an area of nice restaurants and pretty colonial architecture. Located some 10-12km from downtown Caracas in a safe part of the city it seemed like the most sensible choice for our first visit to South America.
