There are a number of round the world tickets (also referred to as RTW) and multi stop flights available and it can be a confusing job trying to find the most appropriate round the world ticket. Below is a guide of the tickets available.

Before you do anything you need to decide where in the world you want to go, you may well be limited by price and a key to maximising you budget is finding a cheap round the world ticket or multi-stop flight.

For many round the world tickets you have to play by certain rules, such as travelling in one direction, limitation on miles and number of stops that can be had. Another difficulty can be combining different continents if you don’t want to do the normal Asia and Australasia.

How to book multi stop flights online

Its not always that easy to book RTW flights online, but here are some options:

      Good for: Round The World trips with lots of stops and those that do not take the ‘conventional route’ as this ticket is not based on mileage - but zones). You can have up to 2 stopovers within Europe. Then, depending on the number of continents your ticket allows, you can have up to 4 flight sectors within Africa, 4 flight sectors within Asia, 4 flight sectors within South America and 6 flight sectors within North America plus 4 flight sectors within Australasia.
      Cost: Continent fares from £1179 plus taxes, 4 continents from £1389 plus taxes, 5 continents from £1709 plus taxes and 6 continents from £1929 plus taxes.
