Volleyball at 4000m
The 4 day excursion from Tupiza to Bolivia’s world famous Sayla de Uyuni had many firsts for us but one of the highlights has to be playing volleyball with a team of locals at an altitude of well over 4000m.
Stopping over on the first night of the trip we stayed in a very small and remote village where we were able to join in with the game as the sunset behind us. Now I’m not a particularly fit person but I was pretty pleased with my self that I played the whole game and didn’t pass out once! On occasions I forgot how high I was as I ran to collect the ball I was quickly reminded!
