Floating Bar – A Day in Nha Trang, Vietnam

One of the highlights of our travel up the Vietnamese coast has got to be being a Vietnamese tourist for the day, we were the only non-Vietnamese on the boat trip that took off from Nha Trang and visited 4 islands, it included a ramshackle live band, great food and a floating bar!

The day went like this:

Book a boat trip…

Ram far too many people onto a pretty small boat…

Eat some nice food…

Watch a crazy Vietnamese band…

Dance with the man with the coconut bikini, then jump of the boat, float around on rubber rings and atempt to drink Vietnamese red wine and pineapple whilst staying afloat… Awesome!

and get paddled around in a basket at a fishing village…

After the boat trip we enjoyed yet another Vietnamese baquette (there really nice and cost almost nothing!)…

Vietname Baguettes

After the baguette we headed to main beach to watch the locals flying kites as the sunset…
Nha Trang, Vietnam

In Nha Trang we stayed at Kim Ugen it was 6$ for a room with a/c and a balcony. Very nice!

    Dear Benedict,
My name's Hai Anh from Nha Trang. I am designing a questionnaire for my survey about backpacker's satisfactions in Nha Trang. It's my honour to be helped by you. If possible, would you please give me your email, and I send it to you.
Thank you for your consideration and looking forward to your reply.
P/S: Thank you for your nice impressions about our sweet hometown, Nha Trang. If you love to sight seeing, there's a lot of really wild, nice places to enjoy in Nha Trang: Mui Ke Ga, Hon Ba, Dien Khanh Citadel, Yang bay waterfall etc.

This is the first time, I see people in a basket. That image is indeed funny. I am gonna build the floating bar myself for the next pool party. ;)

When researching my own travels I always focus on the photos and with that in mind I've tried to place an emphasis on travel photos of my favourite destinations. My blog covers past experiences backpacking around the world and my current travels where so far I've been lucky enough to travel in the South Pacific, Australasia, South East Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
