Southeast Asia Travel Itinerary – Tours, Ideas and Routes
The backpacking route we took through South East Asia took us on a fairly well travelled path as well as some off the beaten path travelling.
We spent 3 months on this stretch of our journey, backpacking from Indonesia up to Vietnam.
Indonesia - We landed in Denpasar in Bali from New Zealand, we then headed to Gili Air of the coast of Lombok for a relaxing stay on the beautiful island. From Gili Air we travelled for 2 days on 2 ferry’s and buses through Lombok and Sumbawa to Labuhanbajo, Flores.

It seems a real shame you didn’t get to visit Laos on your travels – was my favourite country when backpacking Southeast Asia.
Although I didn’t get to go to the Gilis – you win some, you lose some I guess!
